How Brow Review Lab tests eyebrow products

We are an independent editorial team. Every product is scored against a published rubric: formula, comfort of daily use, applicator, efficiency, verified user feedback and value. Advertising on this site is sold by a third party and has no influence on scores or rankings.

30%

Formula

Actives, peptides and conditioning agents checked against the research; ingredient transparency. For cosmetics: hold, pigmentation, finish.

20%

Daily use & comfort

How easy the product is to use consistently: texture, drying time, feel on skin and hair, behaviour after hours of wear.

20%

Applicator & efficiency

Precision and control of the applicator, waste, and how long a product lasts at the recommended dose.

30%

User feedback & value

Consistent patterns in verified purchaser feedback (15%) and price weighed against size and longevity (15%).

The process

Formula analysis. We read the full ingredient list of every product, identify the actives (peptides, conditioning agents, prostaglandin analogues) and check them against the published research in our glossary.

Hands-on use. Editors use each product in a normal routine: serums daily for a full cycle, gels and pencils through working days, lamination kits following the instructions exactly. We note applicator quality, texture, drying time, comfort and efficiency.

User feedback. We review verified purchaser feedback across retailers and look for consistent patterns, not individual outliers, in results, irritation and ease of use.

Value. Price is weighed against size, dose and how long a product lasts in real use, not against the headline price alone.

Reassessed regularly. Rankings are revisited when a formula changes, a notable product launches, or every 12 months, whichever is sooner.

Editorial standards

No affiliate links. No sponsored placements. Products are purchased at retail, never accepted from brands. Writers disclose any past relationship with a manufacturer, and that writer is excluded from assessing that brand. Full editorial policy · Advertising disclosure.

Every health claim is reviewed by a consultant trichologist before publication. Scores are editorial judgements against the rubric above, not clinical measurements. Corrections are logged at the foot of each article with the date.
